👋, I’m Elfred.

I’m a software engineer living in Austin, TX. My area of expertise is building mobile apps and infrastructure. I’m currently a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb, in one of our product foundation orgs.

Before Airbnb I was building client messaging infrastructure at Meta (previously Facebook). Specifically for Instagram Direct and Messenger.

I also worked at Amazon, building their in house maps and navigation platform for their delivery drivers and at Twitter working on both their product and infrastructure teams.

Other than Big Tech companies, I also founded a startup and did freelance work and consulting.

I’m not sure what I’ll use this space for yet. It’ll likely be a combination of things I’m learning and random thoughts.
